PASSION PROJECT: Matilda’s Chocolate Cake

When I think of delicious movie foods, I almost immediately recall the giant, fudgey, decadent chocolate cake in Matilda. This cake is huge, rich, and absolutely delicious. While I am talented, I am not as talented as the little boy who managed to eat the entire cake in one sitting. When I recreated it, the room truly smelled wonderful. The batter was incredibly thick, quite hard to stir without help lol. Or maybe using a stand mixer. Besides that it was one of the quickest cakes i’ve ever made. Done with the whole batter in less than 10 minutes, and cake done within a couple hours of making it. The frosting was delicious as well, and after assembling, the cake tastes like brownies and cake mixed together. If I were to make it again I would probably use a lighter chocolate cake, the Hershey’s chocolate cake recipe next time. I got this recipe from the website Binging with Babish.
